Russian Piping

Hey guys!

Yesterday was my birthday and I received many new baking materials. One of the many things I got was Russian tips.  These piping tips are very unique and are amazingly easy to use.  I got the tulip tip, and the ball tip.  They are both super cool and you can check out video demonstration videos online.  These just turned out so cool I had to share this with you, and if you would like me to make a video of my new supplies comment down below!

theCramm award

crammaward

Hello everyone!  I was just nominated for theCramm award by Sarah @btweenthepages, and decided to write this post to thank her and to let you know who I nominated myself.  So, don’t forget to visit Sarah’s reading blog and visit Liv @theCramm, who created this award!

Rules (because we need them):

  • Include that tidbit about who created this awesome award (With link)
  • Mention the person who nominated you
  • Share three things that motivate you to blog
  • Share three people who inspire you to blog
  • Share one thing you hope to do that will improve the world
  • Answer your challenge question
  • Nominate 10+ bloggers and give them a fun ‘challenge question

Three things that motivate me to blog:

  1.  I love sharing my ideas with other people and letting them recreate my recipes
  2.  I want to motivate other people to bake and experience the fun of it
  3.  I like to see other people happy with my creations

Three people that motivate me to blog:

  1.  Sarah @btweenthepages, because the layout and design of her blog is simple but beautiful and I hope to make my layout as neat and colorful as hers sometime.
  2. Ivy and Em @twogirlstwomountains, because their photography posts are gorgeous and I am determined to make my pictures as good as theirs are.
  3. Jeannette @jeannettelindsay, because she was the one who inspired me to start my blog.  She also helped design my webpage when I was getting started, and still helps me with my baked goods today.

One thing I hope to do to change the world:

I hope to change the world by having people around the world eating fresh and healthy food made with organic, fresh ingredients which is what I am trying to do here on my blog.

If you were forced to choose between losing an arm or never being able to use technology for the rest of your life, which would you prefer to sacrifice?

I would probably choose to lose a arm because I love baking and blogging and if I didn’t have a oven or stove it would be almost impossible to bake.  Also, I do most of my school work on a computer and so if I couldn’t use it I would have to write everything out which would take much longer.

My Challenge Question:

Do you believe that someday we will be able to travel to the past but not the future, and why?

NYC cupcake fun!

Last week my family and I went to New York City and visited many famous cupcake bakery’s while we were there.  We went to Carlo’s Bake Shop, Sprinkles Cupcakes, Baked by Melissa and even saw Magnolia Bakery.  All the bakery’s we went to were delicious and gave me many new ideas for future posts, I hope to visit them again soon!

Chocolate-Peppermint Cookies

Hey Guys!  Sorry I haven’t posted in a while, but I wanted to share with you my favorite Chocolate peppermint cookie recipe.  The picture below is of a batch I made today as a Christmas gift for my teachers, although we had lots of extra so we stirred some up for some family too.  I linked the recipe down below so you guys can try them as as well!

Cupcakes for the beach

Hi, sorry I haven’t posted anything in a while, but I recently made cupcakes for my friend Darla’s birthday party.  They were beach themed and  I made six vanilla and six vanilla chai.  It was a custom order and turned out delicious!  Half were topped with cinnamon frosting and half were topped with chocolate frosting.   They were all topped with gram cracker crumbs to resemble sand.  Half had white chocolate shells on top and the other half had homemade fondant surfboards. (Remember to comment if you want me to add any flavors or toppings to the menu!)

Fresh…

Here you will find the ‘fresh’ updates on what is new at our bakery!

Update:  We just made our new business cards and sticker labels!  We might now be able to sell our cupcakes at our local farmer’s market!  When we are making our creations we have a baking partner, her name is Bella and she is my pet dog. There is a picture of her below!  I hope you enjoy your cupcakes!

Update: I just finished two dozen cupcakes for our gymnastics party this weekend! I made french vanilla cupcakes with raspberry buttercream frosting and a pink fondant star on top with a letter A on it because that is the logo for my gym. There is a picture of them below!

I’m so excited to start my own cupcake bakery! I have made cupcakes for the Rye Elementary and Junior High teacher appreciation luncheons and Rye Elementary Student Council Bake Sale. My cupcakes will also be debuting at the Atlantic Gymnastics end of season banquet in a couple weeks at the Brandt Family Farm.  I will be posting my latest baking updates and if you click the button next on the right under this post you will be able to see them.  I hope you enjoy your cupcakes as much as I love baking them!
